Last week we visited Tunohopu Marae. We were welcomed onto the marae with a Pōhiri. Then we split into groups and did different activities, like visiting the mud pools, the village and discovering koru patterns in the marae; we also made flatbread for lunch.

What were you best memories of the day, and what did you find interesting?

My favorite part was how we learned about the geothermal activity and how they used it for spas and indoor heating.
Next time I would love to learn about how they would entertain themselves.☺
